Client Group and Regular Contacts
Who is allowed to book with you? As a rule, anyone who knows your booking link. For associations, member groups, or loyalty programs, however, booking can be restricted to people timum already knows. This setting is called Client Group.
Open or Closed
| Client Group | Who can book | Suitable for |
|---|---|---|
| open (usual setting) | Anyone, even without a timum account. Customers enter their name and contact details when booking. | Real estate agents, property management companies, consulting – anyone looking to win new customers |
| closed | Only people who are registered with timum and known to you as a regular contact. | Associations, courses for members, closed groups, internal appointment scheduling |
You will find this setting under Settings → Process Settings in the Client Group section (1). Choose open or closed; the change takes effect immediately for the entire Provider Calendar – unlike the channel settings, the Client Group setting is not applied per resource.

Your Customers at a Glance
Your regular contacts – people registered with timum who have booked with you or whom you have created – can be found on the Customers page in your Provider Calendar. Use Find customers (1) to search by name or email address. Clicking an entry opens the contact card with name, mobile number, address, and email; under Note (2) you can record what you want to remember about this person, for example special requirements for the next appointment.
Use delete to remove a contact from your list. Appointments already booked remain unaffected.
How a Customer Becomes a Regular Contact
- Through a timum account: The customer list only includes people who are registered with timum. Anyone who books without an account only provides their details for that one appointment and does not appear as a regular contact.
- Through invitation: Using the Second Booking Link or an Exclusive Appointment Invitation, you can specifically invite selected people to book.
Returning customers do not need to enter their details again: timum recognizes them when they book and pre-fills the form, provided they book in the same browser.
